From September 14 to 16, 2023, the Eighth Buddhist Summit was held at the Royal Grand Hall of Buddhism and Nalanda Mahavihara, the sacred places for all Buddhists in the world.
The supreme Buddhist leaders representing the 51 member countries across the 5 continents were in attendance, joining either on-site or remotely.
Numerous goodwill messages were sent to the summit by the United Nations, the European Union, Royal Families, Heads of State, and national leaders of the world.
The opening ceremony was conducted at the International Buddhist Conference Hall in Honor of H.M. King Norodom Sihanouk of Cambodia.
At the roundtable meeting, with the shared aspiration for world peace and serenity for humanity in mind, the leaders exchanged views and pledged to work together in unity.

We declare to make all-out effort to spread International Buddhist Day and promote the further propagation of Buddhism throughout the world by providing a variety of programs especially for young people, who will be our hope for the future, to get familiar with Buddhism.
